The Ghettolympics in a nutshell:105 on the asphalt, 96 in theshade (just like the song), greatturnout, original concept, heapsof friendly competition, serioustricks getting busted, girls withwater-misters, Red Bull and RedBull Light, beers, friends, no foes,hot dogs, hamburgers, hip -hopdisc jockey (thanks again DJSUPeRB , Mike Brown as theM.C. (humorous chap isn't he?),Fox News, PCTV, clean peoplecleaning up after dirty people,cool parents, matching shopteam t-shirts, early teen girlswearing bikinis and unzippeddaisy dukes, bad thoughts, 20dudes with video cameras, 30dudes with regular cameras(myself included), video cameraon crane set-up (definitely goingthe extra mile-thanks BrianBaade), teenagers smoking manycigarettes next to the The Truthbooth, lots of sunglasses (thesemake my face sweat), beer run,people I haven't seen in a longwhile (Ben Dickerson), goodparking lot surface (thanks to BigDeluxe Tattoo), really long red hair(Oliver Buchanan), plaid shortswith striped shirts (this combomakes my eyes hurt), maybesome track marks on some kidsarm, mullet haircut from hell, neongreen shirt, neon pink shirt, twohot dogs in one hamburger bun,good judging (Big-E, Dave Van,Tully, Helen Wade, PAND A andGreg from Union Shop), tight andtripped out events like timed heightescalating hippy jump hurdles,longest power slide (this prettymuch killed any one's wheels thatwere willing to participate), openobstacle jam session, my favoriteevent the board chuck it's kindof like the shot-put, but for losers(Jonathan Jackson almost tookJason Gianchetta's head straightoff), general chaos, SLUG Staffholding it down, Dank Squad booth (the goods-you should really hook a brother upwith some nice t-shirts size large please), good obstacleconstruction, good vibrations and just plain good ingeneral.
