The band That Go made a music video and here it is in all its loin-clothed glory. Champagne, creepy all-black contact lenses and extremely long man-wigs really made this a great starter for Gallery Shorts Block 3. The song isn’t too shabby, either. I recommend a listen on their myspace.

Joey and Jerome’s Artistic and Meaningful Independent Film

This film was very artistic and meaningful, seriously. No other movie in the history of film has meant more or will have a bigger impact on future filmmakers. This movie is—blessedly—a short; blessedly because it is a parody of modern indie flicks and most of the films being “sent up” are too long and drawn out to begin with. This shorter format for the over-earnest indie film will be the future for crappy, meaningful cinema, hopefully. Fortunately, the satirical versions will always be more humorous.

Ha’agam (The Lake)

Two brothers travel into the wilds of Tel Aviv to a wedding resort only to find death and betrayal by bizarre means. This movie was fabulous and utilized one of the best ringtone gags ever to emerge in cinema anywhere [Korean band Super Junior’s “Banana Time”]. Note the extreme amount of masticating throughout—a subtle pacing trick Israeli-director Boaz Lavie utilizes quite well.
