YellowBrickRoad

Slamdance FIlm Festival

Directed by Andy Mitton & Jesse Holland

A group hike in the woods may sound idyllic to some, but not for those who have seen this film. Instead of a clinical answer to the question "Why did a whole town disappear into the woods in 1940?" the book research team hiking the "Yellow Brick Road" find a deadly, final solution. This is a film about dying, going crazy, and the damage that one man's unchecked ambition can do to others. If you can buy into the premise of the film, that some malignant presence is sonically, and mentally haunting the hikers, then the rest of the film will entertain and surprise. The ending of this piece is fantastical, and proof that everyone will meet the wizard, one way or another.
