How did you hear about the band?
Beliefs, like most bands at SXSW, was brought to my attention by the SXSW smartphone application, plain and simple.

Give a musical equation that describes the band’s sound.
Slowdive + Generic rock n' roll seen today = Beliefs

if you could insert any other musician into the band, who would it be?
One person that would complete Beliefs as a band would be Oliver Ackermann from A Place to Bury Strangers, hands down. Oliver’s ability to turn feedback and distortion into a thing of beauty would boost the band's sound and help Beliefs create something abstract enough to keep a crowd going.

if you could see this band perform with any other musical group, who would it be?
Being able to see Jesus and Mary Chain play with Beliefs would be unbelievable for both the band and me. For one thing, Beliefs came about because of their affection for ‘90s shoegaze at a party years ago, so naturally one would think that if Jesus and Mary Chain played with Beliefs the band would be ecstatic.  Also, Jesus and Mary Chain would rub off on Beliefs a little more to strengthen some of the band's weakness seen on Saturday.

If this band came to SLC, where would you want to see them play?
Kilby Court would the best place for a band of their caliber to set up, play, and still have the ability to work some of their kinks out and most would be non the wiser, based off some small mishaps seen on Saturday night.
