If you listen closely, you can hear the faint sound of moans and groans of San Diego’s local residents as hoards of costumed basement avengers and their parental supervisors waddle their way toward the San Diego Convention Center. In the next week, SLUG Magazine will be on-site during the 41st annual Comic Con covering everything from upcoming film and television releases to the surprisingly wild night life activities that surround the geeky gathering. A major part during the convention is the toy exclusives sold on the crowded exhibitors’ floor. For a quick taste of things to come, here are some exclusive toys being made available this year by Fox Consumer Products.

- James Cameron has already snuck his crafty fingers into your wallet with the release of Avatar. Now, he’ll do it again with this set that recaptures the film’s final battle sequence. Can you come up with a better ending? Probably! - $40

- Forget about that fat ass “Time to make the donuts guy” from the 1980s. Nothing screams fried delicious dough louder than this 6" figurine of the legendary Lard Lad from The Simpsons. - $40
