One for the Road
Teton Gravity Research
X-Dance Screening: Thursday, Jan. 12 @ 4pm

One for the Road was easily the best film I’ve seen so far at X-Dance and honestly, I doubt it can be topped. This movie traces the path of Teton Gravity athletes from British Columbia to Macedonia to Iceland to Alaska and more, displaying different types of skiing at the highest levels of skill. From flying down colossal spines, base-skiing and hitting suicidal street spots, One for the Road has it all and in a big, big way. Snow-pros and amateurs alike, anyone can appreciate One for the Road as it highlights a part of life that we can all relate to in our own way. With stunning dialogue and the use of extended metaphor, “the road” referenced throughout this movie makes it not just a great ski movie, but a great movie that everyone can enjoy. Teton Gravity has set the bar high with this one, and I look forward to seeing what they do next.
