Napalm Flesh

This week we’ve got plenty of local goings on, and it’s fit that Napalm Flesh spotlights Salt Lake City’s Stalemate Flesh for our first local artist spotlight in a while. Also on tap are reviews from a re-issue of a re-issue from Cirith Ungol, as well as reviews of the new Desecravity and Psycroptic albums and your weekly event rundown.

This week we have an interview with Pennsylvania  death metal newcomers Horrendous. The band’s debut album The Chills is a must-hear for any death metal fan old or new. Also on tap are reviews of new albums form Aborted, Lacuna Coil, Lamb of God and Young And In the Way. And  as usual, we have weekly event rundown as well as a couple upcoming show announcements.

The place to be for black metal fans, extreme metal fans, worshipers of darkness and all those other clichéd terms this Saturday Jan. 21 is Bar Deluxe for Krieg's first ever performance in Salt Lake.  For your reading pleasure, I interviewed frontman Imperial  about his endeavors, US Black Metal and everything in between. As expected, we also have your weekly event rundown as well as reviews of Abysmal Dawn and Loincloth.

To wet your extreme black metal whistle, we have an interview with PA based black metal band Pact, who are unleashing their debut album on the last day of January via the always evil Moribund Cult.  Also on tap this week are reviews of the mentioned Pact album as well as Thy Catafalque and our weekly event rundown.

For this new year of our apocalypse, we have an interview with a long standing doom spreader himself, vocalist Aaron Stainthrope of legendary UK doom/goth metal band My Dying Bride. Also for your apocalyptic fantasies we have reviews of Austrian Death Machine, Brutal Truth, Nightwish, Pestilential Shadows, Vildhjarta and Vise Massacre. Also as usual there’s plenty of metal shows to be had this week/weekend.

Before you careen your way into the New Years orgy, Napalm Flesh would like to present our final article of the year, and it’s a brutally awesome one at that: an interview with front man Eddie Hermida of All Shall Perish, whose new record This Is Where It Ends is being lovingly devoured by fans across the nation.
