Going for a throwback to the ‘90s with this one, with femme rock fit with fuzzy guitar riffs that briefly breach into a more hardcore, alt-punk pop along the same lines as Pink or maybe Good Charlotte. “Looking Forward” could be a good song to get pumped about new beginnings, if only I could get into it. The themes of starting over saturate the album, which is something I’m cool with, but I’d rather not start the album over for another listen. My taste aside, the vocals by Michelle Marston are solid and heartfelt, with lyrics that touch on deep embitterment, but without her I’d probably toss this aside sooner. –Brinley Froelich
