The haunting female vocals, combined with the ominous, heavy mix of acoustic and electric beats, create a funky and one-of-a-kind listening experience that will please fans of just about any genre. Some of my personal favorites from the album were “The Hunted,” a heavy electronic song with a slower tempo and vocals that echo into your mind, as well as “Secret Garden,” a faster-paced track that gives a mysterious feeling upon listening. Another really great track on the album is called “Covenant,” which features harmonized vocals and is collaboration with an artist called Blue Daisy. This is the first full-length album out from the London-based duo, but by the sound of their production, it’s obvious they’re not just fucking around with a synthesizer. I can’t wait to hear more from Snow Ghosts, and would absolutely buy their music. –Julia Sachs
