Wilsen = Nick Drake + London Grammar

Ethereal and otherworldly, Wilsen’s remix EP is a 4-track compilation of some of the sweetest melodies and most ghostly vocals that just might break your damn heart. It’s gentle and sweet while maintaining a consistent strength. Sun Glitter’s interpretation of “Magnolia” was slightly too busy and overloaded on samples. Death Vessel’s remix of “Emperor” is a gem, however, reminiscent of a Jamie xx guitar-infused track (but with better vocals), and “Sea to Sea,” remixed by Wye Oak, was my most listened-to song on the EP. It’s not a jaw-dropping album, but it’s definitely well produced and a clean piece of work. Check it out and let yourself float away. –Kamryn Feigel
