ThirtyTwo's 2nd Annual 32 Day at Brighton

With the sun shining beams of happiness on this wonderful day, everyone was lining up to get some crunchy carves down the banked slalom course that ThirtyTwo and the Brighton park crew had built. Kids where getting bucked off of the 3rd burm but that didn't stop Brandon Hobush from getting the fastest time of 55.8 seconds or even SLUG's own Katie Panzer from getting the 3rd fastest time in the women's division. After people were done showing off their mad heel to toe skills, everyone headed over to the rail jam. This was the final event where you had to throw down to take home the grand prize of boots, shoes, a snowboard, and of course $320.00 in cash money from ThirtyTwo. Brandon Hobush took the overall winner for the men's and Midori Oatari took the overall women's division.

Trolley Wing Company's Closing Party

For over ten years, the Trolley Wing Company has served the tastiest wings in the valley to many devoted customers. Sadly, they will be closing their doors for an undefined period of time while they relocate. To send off the old trolley car, they held a rager on Saturday, Feb. 27 and SLUG was there to cover it. SLUG's 21st Birthday! @ Urban Lounge

You only turn 21 once and it usually is quite unforgettable. SLUG's 21 st birthday was no different my friends. On Friday, Feb. 19th at the Urban Lounge Musclehawk, Mammoth and DJ Flash & Flare brought the jams while the party rolled on into the night. It was  definitely a night to remember. Her HRC Fundraiser

On Jan.17, the Human Rights Compaign threw a party to celebrate the diversity of women everywhere. The event was held in 35 different cities nation-wide, including Salt Lake. Fight For Your Life- 01.30.10

Tom McClelland, of Fight For Your Life gym (www.fight4yours.com) held its inaugural "Fight Night" Saturday January 30th. Nearly 500 supporters, fans, friends and family showed up to cheer on the amateur fighters, in what was an impressive showing of talent, skill, and hammer fisted flurries!

Satch's Put That In Your Pipe and Jib It!

With the weather resembling Katie Perry's smash hit Hot and Cold, it was an odd day which was perfect for Brighton's 2nd Put it in your Pipe and Jib it competition which was an odd competition it's self. Basically it looked like someone built a mini pipe and threw a bunch of boxes and rails on it leaving little room for error. With plenty of people smashing into each other and others going off one box and gettin bucked right into the next, it was a great day.
