SLUG Magazine is currently looking for an experienced and professional Distribution Manager to join our office team.

Reports to: Executive Editor, Community Development Manager and Events Coordinator, Editor (depending on project)

Position is responsible for managing the day to day functions, including but not limited to hiring and managing part-time delivery drivers, scheduling and maintaining delivery routes, meeting delivery deadlines and ensuring expectations associated with such tasks are met.
Applicants should provide a proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as an excellent track record in client/customer satisfaction. Experience in managing the distribution of magazines, advertising products or newspapers preferred, but not required. Must have prior general management experience.

Critical Tasks & Responsibilities:

–Recruit, schedule and manage SLUG’s Distribution Team
–Attend weekly office meetings
–Ensure delivery of SLUG Magazine, along with any additional distribution jobs/projects according to predetermined deadlines
–Provide accurate and detailed distribution reports
–Develop and maintain partnerships with various companies as distribution points on behalf of SLUG Magazine
–Maintain SLUG Magazine’s core values of quality and transparency
Qualifications:
–Current Driver’s License, insurance and clean driving record
–Strong organization, communication and social skills
–Professional comportment
–Ability to problem solve
–SLUG Magazine reader
–Working Knowledge of Adobe CS6, MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, Word Press, etc.
–Have analytical abilities, teamwork capabilities and results-oriented mindset
–2 to 4 years experience in distribution preferred
