Ring Rats Anonymous: UCW-Zero Incarceration Live TV Taping @ UCW Arena 11.30

Action Sports

Josh Damien introduced Suede Thompson, even helping him with his baby powder shtick, and you know what? The dude actually managed to get a couple of “suederade!” chants. He’s a sketchy S.O.B., though, and despite his attempts to choke out Lacey Ryan (or pull her pants down!) the athletic superior still won out. The match’s biggest “write home” moment came at the end when, after both comabatants made attempts to climb out of the cage, Ryan swung the unlocked door right into Suede’s face, leaving him down in the ring while she slid out to victory.
At this point, Zack James and Jayson Bravo have a pretty storied rivalry that’s been building for a bit now. This time around, James proved even more why he’s definitely in order for a win, showcasing great stamina and drive throughout. Per usual, Bravo maintained a distinct arrogance throughout the proceedings, blowing kisses to Sierra Rose and generally trying to get under James’ skin. The taunting was enough to put James into a rage, but also enough to cloud his judgment made evident by his attempt to lay a clock-cleaner on Bravo, which was botched by a simple side-step and resulted in the angered babyface accidentally slugging his beloved. I think at this point, we’d all like to see Zack James put one over on Bravo, but I can’t discount the entertainment value of a good bad guy getting his own.
Full-disclosure: The main event was a thing of masterful storytelling that I won’t tread on too much … but I can’t in good conscience leave this column alone without linking to this video. It’s like a Snuka spot off that cage huh? Lord.
The 801 District (Junior X and Los Mochis Paco) and their rivalry with The Foundation (Martin Casaus, Derrick Jannetty and Stevie Slick) has become a thing of beauty at this point, with the arrogant heels cleaning house with cheap wins left and right. However, it seems that the time for an upset is ripe and the cage was the perfect locale for it.
While the foundation managed to enact a few of their signature tricks (like when Slick threw a metal chair into the center of the cage), the 801 District held their own and wore down the cocksure bullies into one of the most capitivating upsets of the year!
Just a few highlights:
– Slick going bananas every time one of his cronies was down and out
– Los Mochis Paco forcing Slick into the action through the cage wall (see photo above!)
– Absurd amounts of blood (see photos below!)
– A surprise visit from a UCW-Zero favorite (won’t spoil it) and two HUGE upsets!
The Foundation is crumbling at UCW-Zero, and the climate is ripe for some new champions. Those who made it know they saw something special, and those who didn’t come … What the hell is wrong with you? Make it up for it by coming to the next event, Dec. 7 at the UCW arena (47 S. Orange), and for goodness sakes, get your tickets for the Dec. 28 event, featuring ECW legends Raven and Justin Credible! Visit UCWzero.com for ticketing and event information, follow UCW-Zero on Facebook and Twitter (@UCWzero) and subscribe to their Youtube channel.
Oh, and above all else, remember that nothing happens until the bad guy shows up. Stay heel.
