Brewstillery Zone Manager

 

SLUG Mag’s Zone Managers serve as the primary point of contact for a large group of brewers, distillers and exhibitors at the Brewstillery beer and spirits festival happening on June 17, 2023. Zone Managers are personable, adaptable, solution-oriented leaders with excellent customer service skills and an interest in supporting Utah’s businesses.

Responsibilities:

-Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for vendors at Brewstillery in your assigned zone, offering excellent customer service to ensure a positive festival experience for all participants

-Support vendors in your zone throughout the festival, including answering questions, helping to troubleshoot issues, and escalating any special needs or concerns to management as necessary

-Play a key role in the load-in and load-out logistics for vendors in your zone, including volunteer training and management

-Create, organize, and distribute vendor lanyards and signage

-Assist the SLUG Mag team with setting up and breaking down Brewstillery signage and equipment before, during, and after the festival

-Assist in other areas of Brewstillery as needed throughout the event

Qualifications:

-2 years of management or leadership experience

-Festival, large event and/or crowd management experience preferred

-Exceptional customer service, problem-solving and communication skills

-Organized, collaborative and self-disciplined

-Ability to adapt in an event-driven, nonprofit environment

-Available to read and respond to email 2–3 times per day

-Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs

-Must be able to stand on their feet for upwards of 10 hours a day

-Must be able to endure summer temperatures of 90 degrees and above

Requirements:

-Seasonal, contract position with the ability to work in-house at our offices 1-5 hours per week starting in May with hours increasing in June

-Must attend all staff meetings and trainings

-Must be able to commit to working Brewstillery week June 12-16, 2023 and at the Brewstillery event on Saturday, June 17

-Must have your own laptop and cellphone
