This two-part interactive event will include a virtual discussion on Oct. 4 and a hike to the burn scar on Oct. 5. We will also be recording the webinar and will share it with registrants afterward. Register for one or both.

While relatively small in size at 541 acres, the impacts of the Parleys Canyon Fire in 2021 were far reaching, occurring under prolonged and exceptional drought conditions. With two years passing since the fire, there is a lot for us to learn from what has occurred at the site since then. During the webinar, wildland fire expert involved in the management of the fire, J. Bradley Washa, will discuss fire management strategies used and findings from the site two years later. During the hike, participants will have an up-close opportunity to observe impacts of the fire and regeneration since.

This event is designed for adults, children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required to attend.
