Dr. Seuss’ Birthday Celebration

March 2 @ 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Event Navigation

Grinches and Sneetches and Cats wearing Hats,
Why who do we have to thank for all that?
He brought them to life, they sprang from his head,
Who else could it be, but our dear old friend Ted.
“Who’s Ted?” You might ask. He’s a doctor, you know.
He told you of “Oh! The places you’ll go!”
He gave us the Lorax, blue Yertle, and Horton.
And that’s why we think that his birthday’s important.
If you don’t know by now, then I must introduce:
The writer, the artist, the great Dr. Seuss!

Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel) would have been 114 years old this year. Join The City Library, KUED, and Discovery Gateway in celebrating this beloved children’s author with games, activities, and a special appearance by the Cat in the Hat! Birthday cake will be served, as long as Thing One and Thing Two don’t ruin it with their mischief.
