Evening with Bobby Seale

February 26 @ 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) is exceedingly pleased to announce Bobby Seale, co-founder of the Black Panther Party, esteemed author, and political activist will be making an unprecedented appearance at Salt Lake Community College’s Grand Theatre on February 26, 2018.
The evening will commence at 7:00p.m. with Bobby Seale presenting the authentic historical account of the Black Panther Party, an on-stage living room conversation, and a Q&A. Immediately following the event, Bobby will be selling and autographing memorabilia (books, posters, etc.) in the Alumni Room.
Bobby will share with us his first hand experiences of the Black Man’s life in the sixties. With an unfiltered lens, shaped by extreme challenges, Bobby Seale will bestow upon his true story. A story that will instill and inspire the hope that change is possible.  His mission, Giving Power to the People, has led him to continuously stand up for racial equality. His message is a resounding, a never give up the struggle for true liberation and freedom as it is our duty to proactively work to preserve our constitutional rights.   Bobby’s presentation has the capacity to reconfigure our understanding of what life was like in the sixties, what it is today, and  —  most importantly — what we can all do as an empowered people to determine how his personal experiences will help to shape our lives.
