|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 9:00am, repeating until August 2, 2018

Fashion Show Summer Camp:

This is going to be an amazing Fashion Show Summer Camp! You will get to learn basic sewing, serger, hand sewing, clothes dying, make-up, hairstyles and fashion show skills.

Monday through Thursday everyone will get to learn the basic skills of how to use a sewing machine, a serger, hand sewing, ice dyeing and painting on clothes with natural dyes. They will get to make a scarf, one of a kind skirt, altered shirts, design their own jean jacket and more.

Friday they will design their own Fashion Show. They will also learn pointers and skills for Fashion Show make-up and hair. Ending with a wonderful finale of a Fashion Show that they will star in with their new clothes.

This class will happen on July 30th to August 2nd from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The last class day will be on August 3rd from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm ending with a Fashion Show starting at 6:00 pm. The cost for this fabulous summer camp is $125. This class is for ages 11 up. Cancellations accepted up until 7 days before the camp starts.

Every student is welcome to bring their own sewing machine, serger or makeup if they would like to learn skills with their own items but it is not necessary. We will have machines and makeup for everyone to use. All materials are provided for this class.

This class is taught by 4 incredible artists: Roxanne Vigos from Sago Adornment, Stephanie Howerton from Our Children’s Earth, Amanda Golden Strong from Amanda’s Sewing and Embroidery Circle and Jean-Louise England who is the Costume Shop Manager at Weber State University. They are excited to share their combined skills for this class.
