Flinching Eye Collective Presents: Counter-Ambience

March 29 @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Free

An exclusive, one-night-only noise art experience at UMOCA.

Flinching Eye Collective is a roaming performance project made up of several media artists who work collaboratively at the intersections of sound, technology and environment. Accentuating the awkward and humorous deconstruction of instruments, tools and ideas, FEC’s live actions incorporate elements of improvisation, indeterminacy, and philosophical playfulness. The collective’s D.I.Y. roots invite interactivity and immersive personal encounter with the audience. Through an onslaught of brief and sonically discrete performances, an alternative material deployment emerges that counters the pre-built, automated capitalist systems that dominate global society.

Admission to the event is free!
