Guest Writers Series with Ted Chiang

March 31 @ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Each year, the Guest Writers Series at the University of Utah brings distinguished authors to Salt Lake City. Our goal is to provide our community with an opportunity to engage in a dynamic, educational and inspiring relationship with literature. We aim to bring in a diverse array of voices and perspectives, and to provide a platform for an enriching dialogue between our authors and the audience. All events are free and open to the public.

Ted Chiang is the author of Exhalation: Stories (Knopf, 2019) and Stories of Your Life and Others (Tor, 2002). His fiction has won four Hugo, four Nebula, and four Locus awards, and has been featured in The Best American Short Stories, and his story “Story of Your Life” was adapted into the film Arrival (2016). He was born in Port Jefferson, New York, and currently lives near Seattle, Washington.
