Utah Asian Festival

July 9 @ 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Free

This marks the 45th year of this amazing tradition of the Utah Asian Festival. The longest-running multi-cultural festival in Utah, offers a glimpse of Asia and all of its vast beauty and history through performances, food and community.

The Asian Festival began in 1977 when an influx of Southeast Asian refugees began settling in Utah. The festival was to introduce the majority of the population to these new minority groups. The Chinese, Japanese and Korean communities pooled their resources together for this historic event. It was the first time that these groups with different backgrounds, cultures, and interests had joined together. Since then, the festival has expanded to celebrate all the different Asian cultures in Utah.

The Asian Festival offers the community a chance to view other cultures in a fun and colorful setting and it offers children of various cultures to see others like them participating in activities of their heritage.

This year festival is moving to a new location at the Grand Building of Utah State Fairpark. Thanks to our sponsors, the event is free admission. There will be a $5 parking fee for all-day parking at the fairgrounds. Can’t wait to see you this summer!
