Curious about the Paranormal? Wonder what’s on the other side… Our paranormal events are designed to explore phenomena folklore, mythology, supernatural, and other non-scientific bodies of knowledge, whose existence within these contexts is described to lie beyond normal experience or scientific explanation. The most notable paranormal beliefs include those that pertain to ghosts, extraterrestrial life, unidentified flying objects, psychic abilities or extrasensory perception, and other paranormal subjects. Come explore the paranormal and journey to the great beyond.
Chip Coffey is a clairvoyant, clairaudient and clairsentient psychic, as well as a fully-conscious medium. He is blessed to have the God-given ability to provide others with insight, guidance and direction. As a medium, he is also able to reconnect his clients with their deceased loved ones. Chip to hold a gallery event and participate in the Paranormal Expo.
ALIEN DAVE – The X-Files is absent from the airwaves this television season, but Salt Lake City has its own real-life Fox Mulder on the case: “Alien” Dave Rosenfeld. Rosenfeld, is an agreeable fellow, simple and plainspoken. At our first meeting, he’s wearing blue jeans, a gray baseball cap and a black T-shirt with green lettering that identifies him as a member of something called the UFO Search Team. His thin, dark beard outlines an easy grin. We shake hands, and I can’t help being impressed by his warm demeanor. He’s instantaneously your buddy—a regular Joe from across the street.
BEN HANSEN -Inspired by TV shows like The X-Files which were popular while he was in high school, Ben cemented an interest in both a desire to work in public service for an investigative agency and an insatiable desire to explore mysteries of the unknown. After graduating college, he worked for several private and public agencies, including investigating child sex crimes and severe physical abuse on the Utah County Sex Crimes Task Force. His training and work later brought him to work in the position of Special Agent for the FBI. His time serving at the state and federal levels gave him over six years of formal experience in investigating a wide range of crimes and national security details. Feeling as though he might someday return to public service, Ben also felt compelled to seize an opportunity presented to him to assist in forming a new investigative reality TV show. Departing from the mainstream paranormal shows prevalent at the time, this new show would not only conduct observation-based field investigations; it would focus primarily on alleged evidence already at hand. The age of the Internet has brought with it the sharing of thousands of allegedly paranormal viral videos and photographs. People with a sincere curiosity for the unknown are often left with the tremendous and exciting task of sifting through the hoaxes and naturally explainable cases. Ben and the show developers felt that after a methodical process of experimentation, whatever evidence remained unexplained… also became more compelling. From this concept was born the Syfy hit television show Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files.
ANDREA PERRON – CONJURING HOUSE For almost a decade our family lived among the dead. There we came to understand that we are not alone and there is something beyond mortal existence. I graduated from high school in 1976 and attended Chatham College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Graduating in 1980 with an interdisciplinary degree in Philosophy and English, it was during my senior year when my mother announced the sale of the farm was pending. I was heartbroken. In spite of the trials, it was “home” and I loved it. Returning to Rhode Island, we were there only a few weeks before relocating to Georgia; long enough to pack and say goodbye. It was over. Though we abandoned our place in the country, it never left us. Memory is powerful.
ROB GUTRO – Learn how pets in spirit have the ability to send signals to the living, and wait for us in the afterlife. Rob Gutro, medium, paranormal investigator, scientist and author of Pets and the Afterlife and Pets in the Afterlife 2, will discuss how to cope with grief after losing a beloved pet. He will identify the signs they give us and the science behind why living pets can sense entities. By the end of the talk, you’ll be able to find the signs from your pets in spirit.
JOHN OLSEN – AUTHOR True Stories of the paranormal from Northern Utah. Bridgerland is the name given to Northern Utah. Named after Jim Bridger, a trapper that explored it in the fall and winter of 1824. Inspired by my own experiences with the unknown, I have spent 30 years interviewing and documenting stories of those who have witnessed the strange and unusual in northern Utah. “Stranger Bridgerland” contains firsthand accounts of everything from Ghosts and Monsters, to Sasquatch and UFO’s.
