February 5 @ 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Wasatch Packtivists meeting. Jessica Olsen (Carr) will present on restoring BLM lands and sustainable mustang populations by reintroducing apex predators. She will talk about her research and findings on why reintroducing wolves into the Great Basin could be successful for rebalancing the ecosystem. She will talk about the issues surrounding the mustangs in the Great Basin, why the Great Basin needs wolves, and how ranchers can benefit and co-exist with these apex predators. Kim Crumbo of the Wildlands Network will talk about cougars as the other apex predator in the equation and the relevance of Mexican wolf recovery in the Great Basin.
