For the past 20 years SLUG Magazine has hosted Utah’s largest amatuer ski and board competion, bringing hundreds of locals together. SLUG Games gives the opprotunity to young skiers and snowboards to compete in amateur competion for a chance to showcase their skills and talents. SLUG Games has served as an early stomping ground for established pros like Bode Merrill, Stevie Bell, Sean Black, Ted Borland and Gabby Maiden as well as up- and-comers like Tucker Fitzsimons. Our 20th year will remain FREE of registration fees for competitors’. Skiing and snowboarding categoires include; Men and Women’s Open Ski, Men and Women’s Open Snow, Men and Women’s Ski 17 & Under, Men and Women’s Snow 17 & Under. With 26 categories to win from throughtout the event, there are loads of chances to win something from our amazing sponsors. This season, SLUG Games will consist of one competition at Brighton Mountain Resort on March 7, 2020.

Many incarnations of the SLUG Games have come to pass over the years, and while the themes and faces have changed, the partnership formed with Brighton Resort has stood the test of time. On Saturday, March 10, Park City Mountain Resort played host to Shred the Park After Dark, the second and final contest of the SLUG Games series. With the sun shining bright, deep into the late afternoon, the snow kids turned up in droves to compete for bragging rights. On Jan. 8, PCMR hosted the first stop of the 2011 SLUG Games amateur ski and snowboard contest known as Night Riders. This year The SLUG Games had a new twist: it was a Prom Jam filled with all the amenities you could ask for. It was high school all over again, except the gym was filled with snow, and instead of some strange middle aged dude with something to prove breathing down your neck, you were allowed and encouraged to get buck.
