Best show of the day:
-12:20 a.m. Gnaw/Pitchfork’s Show No Mercy @ Mohawk Indoor

Gnaw is a noise band from NYC featuring four members that make and play their own instruments. They create dark, hypnotic ear-piercing experimental music that seems to have an improvisational component. I had never heard of Gnaw before entering Pitchfork’s Showcase. Finding new bands like Gnaw is one of the reasons why SXSW remains to be a unique and exciting experience for hundreds of thousands of music lovers.
