How was their stage presence?
Baths stage had a stage presence of “one.” When I say one, I literally mean one nerdy guy and his computer standing behind a white folding table, forcefully and exuberantly pushing buttons while pushing and pulling slider bars. It’s safe to say that Baths did not amount to much in the “stage presence” department.
If you could see this band perform with any other musical group, who would it be?
Girl Talk would be a great DJ to be paired up with Baths in a showcase. Both are single DJs that could combine powers to create a super group to fight the old timer international DJ sensations Daft Punk.
If you could make out with any instrument being played on stage, which one and why?
Since a DJ uses a vary minimal amount of “instruments” besides his turntables, computer, and the occasional synth, chaos pad, or midi controller setup, there is some slim pickings when it comes to a session of seven minutes in heaven with a machine. I would have to choose Baths’ Mac computer to make out with.
What was the funniest thing said on stage?
Baths is many things, but his humor in between his non-transitions of DJ songs took the prize. One of the funniest things that came out of Will Wiesenfeld’s vocal box (his real one) was “All great DJs have transitions between songs. Well, I don’t, so they can all fuck it.” Words alone are not a good example of Baths’ humor, so I recommend you see the “band” in person.
Give a musical equation that describes the band’s sound.
Girl Talk is equal to or grater than baths.
