Posted March 14, 2013 in

Featuring : Amanda Palmer, John Sayles, Jenny Owen Youngs, Neil Gaiman, Emma Swift, Buck 65

How did you hear about the panel?
I was introduced to People Of Letters in passing and recommended by Angela Brown, editor of SLUG Magazine, who also attended the panel.

If you had to marry one panel member, who?
The one and only member of the panel I would consider marring would be Amanda Palmer from the Dresden Dolls, although I don’t think it would work out, since her husband Neil Gaiman was in the same room.

If you had to murder one band member, who?
I would murder Neil Gaiman in order to marry his wife Amanda Palmer. See previous question.

What was the worst song they played?
The worst song(s) that where played where actually all the songs, except for Emma Smith’s beautiful version of a Gram Parsons song just after telling the audience that “Gram Parsons is the gateway drug to country music.”

What bar would this band hang out in SLC?

Most likely the panel Women Of Letters would hang out in Nobrow, the coffee bar—although there where some outspoken adult beverage drinkers among the group.

Was the show inside or outside? Was it day or night?
The show happened to be inside the 18th floor of the Hilton Garden Inn, although with the view of the city and the amount of city ambient light shining through all the window the subject of inside or outside could be deceiving to anybody who was in awe of the view from the 18th floor
