SLUG Mag is looking for a videographer who wants to build a killer portfolio and is passionate about cycling and the local bike community. The primary responsibility is to execute the creation and production of a SLUG Cat recap video that will help expand capture the event highlights, further SLUG Mag’s brand and reach new audiences. This is an entry-level volunteer position for someone looking to build a portfolio and gain experience in a professional media environment.
-Shoot, edit and produce a SLUG Cat recap video.
-Collaborate with SLUG Mag staff to evaluate and plan event footage.
-Ability to shoot the event, promotional and b-roll footage as well as all post-production responsibilities.
-Ensures lighting positions, sound enhancements, and proper recording equipment are in place to capture the best images.
-Responsible for editing all media/audio including transitions, graphics, lower thirds, titles, color correction, and sweetening of the audio to create a professional video product.
-Responsible for equipment including all camera, lighting, audio, editing hardware and software.
-Assist the SLUG Mag Team by filming, editing and posting footage
-Learn about and help maintain our team culture and uphold our values through creative ways.
-Working towards bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication or Video Production; OR experience performing described duties required.
-Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro X or After Effects
-Proficient with Google Suite and Project related software.
-Thorough understanding of and ability to use basic video production equipment.
-Thorough understanding of artistic styles, techniques, methodologies and effects used within video production.
-Must have your own camera, recording equipment, computer and cell phone
-Must be available from 3:30-8pm on Saturday, June 27.
-Ability to check email/communication platforms twice daily with flexibility to address any time-sensitive items
