Flotsam and Jetsam = Megadeth + Metal Church

This re-recording of No Place for Disgrace sounds overproduced and heartless, like a rote imitation of the original work. Not to say that the original recording was anything too special in itself, but you can definitely hear a 26-year difference in production values. Most bands will re-record material to give it a new take that incorporates their growing experience together. However, instead of sounding tight and practiced after so many years, Flotsam and Jetsam sound like an aging cover band paying tribute to their old material. This version of No Place for Disgrace feels frivolous—a hollow imitation of better days. –Henry Glasheen
