Teen Daze = Death Cab for Cutie + Cocteau Twins

Teen Daze, the moniker for the artist Jamison, takes a bold departure from his previous electronica-soaked work to pursue a more lighthearted, synth-pop direction with Morning World. Strewn with ambient, dream-pop guitar rhythms, live drums and hazy, emotionally-driven vocals, Morning World pieces together the ideal summer-infused soundtrack to easily accompany a lazy afternoon spent poolside or lakeside. Produced by John Vanderslice and recorded in his all-analogue studio Tiny Telephone, this album is an introspective, atmospheric masterpiece that rotates nonchalantly between straightforward psych pop and sweet, saccharine melodies to create a truly pleasurable listening experience. –Kristyn Porter
