“My dad had us grow up in L.A. And at that time in the late '80s, he was really into metal, just like Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult and stuff like that,” says Guzman. “So I always grew up in this weird little metal [music] household. And then all of a sudden, when I grew older, I was like, 'Oh, I've got to cut my hair and be part of society.' And I thought, No, fuck that.”
