This concert features master kora player Yacouba Sissoko and ngoni player Moussa Diabaté. A djali or griot, Yacouba embodies the rich cultural heritage of the Mandé storytelling tradition. The kora is a West African 21-strings instrument with a gourd resonator, central to Mandé music and cultural traditions.
