We’ll be screening the 1987 film “Where is the friend’s House?” directed by Abbas Kiarostami. A schoolboy tries to return his friend’s notebook which he accidentally took home from school — unfortunately, he doesn’t know where his friend lives. This film swept awards at international film festivals and maintains a 100% critics rating on rotten tomatoes.
The first of a recurring film & discussion series screening classic and contemporary Iranian cinema — from the poetic New Wave of the 1960s-70s to the acclaimed dramas of the last two decades.
