Job Title: Circulation Coordinator

Reports to: Executive Editor, Community Development Manager, Events Coordinator, Lead Designer and Editorial Staff (depending on project)


Overview:

Circulation Coordinator is responsible for managing administrative tasks associated with the day-to-day operations, community development outreach, marketing and distribution of SLUG Magazine. 

Applicants should provide a proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, problem solve and have an excellent track record in client/customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

Day-to-Day Operations

–Maintain SLUG Magazine’s core values of quality and transparency

–Attend weekly office and distribution meetings

–Support the SLUG team to implement and maintain consistent systems of digital organization

–Manage weekly Office Lunch and Office Chore Division among Office Staff

–Archive Localized Posters, Event Signage and Magazines as needed


Distribution of SLUG Magazine:

–Recruit, hire and manage SLUG’s part-time delivery drivers 

–Ensure monthly delivery of SLUG Magazine, along with any additional distribution jobs/projects according to predetermined deadlines

–Provide accurate and detailed distribution reports

–Identify new locations for SLUG Magazine distribution

–Establish and maintain business relationships with local business owners on behalf of SLUG’s Community Development department 

–Pick up/take SLUG Merchandise from/to distributors or printers

–Develop and maintain partnerships with various local and national companies on behalf of SLUG


Community Development Outreach:

–Identify sales, sponsorship and distribution opportunities for current and emerging clients

–Perform operation duties with SLUGMag.com and SLUG Magazine

–Assist the SLUG Magazine team in continuing to build a quality, recognizable brand name


Qualifications:

–Current Driver’s License, insurance and clean driving record

–Able to use personal car for company work; mileage will be reimbursed

–Strong organization, communication and social skills

–Experience with social media and marketing preferred

–Professional comportment

–Ability to problem solve

–SLUG Magazine reader

–Working Knowledge of Adobe CS6, MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, WordPress, etc.

–Have analytical abilities, teamwork capabilities and results-oriented mindset

-Customer service experience

–Maturity and ability to professionally represent our company, both on and off the clock

–Strong communication skills for in-person, telephone and online sessions with individuals and groups
