Overview:

SLUG Mag’s Zone Managers serve as the primary point of contact for a large group of brewers, distillers and/or artisans at the spring Brewstillery event on June 15, 2024. Zone Managers are personable, adaptable, solution-oriented leaders with excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for event participants in your assigned zone, offering excellent customer service to ensure a positive event experience for all participants
  • Support event participants in your zone throughout the event, including answering questions, helping to troubleshoot issues and escalating any special needs or concerns to management as necessary
  • Play a key role in the load-in and load-out logistics for event participants in your zone
  • Create, organize and distribute participant lanyards and signage
  • Assist the SLUG Magazine team in the setup and breakdown of the Brewstillery event
  • Assist in monitoring the participants for DABC Violations, addressing those violations with the participant and escalating to senior staff as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of management experience
  • Festival, large event and/or crowd management experience preferred
  • Exceptional customer service, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Organized, collaborative and self-disciplined
  • Ability to adapt in an event-driven environment
  • Available to read and respond to emails 2–3 times per day
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand on their feet for upwards of 10 hours a day
  • Must be able to endure summer temperatures of 90 degrees and above

Requirements:

  • Must attend staff meetings and trainings
  • Must be commit to working the SLUG Mag Brewstillery event June 15, 2024
