City Nature Challenge BioBlitz: Jordan River Migratory Bird Reserve
Join us for a unique BioBlitz during the 2026 City Nature Challenge!
The City Nature Challenge is all about finding and photographing local wildlife. Help the Jordan River Commission and the Natural History Museum of Utah document wildlife at Jordan River Migratory Bird Reserve, a federally protected natural area that is typically closed to the public. We’ll gather to observe and record the wild plants, animals, and fungi onsite using the iNaturalist app. New and seasoned iNaturalist users are welcome!
We’ll gather for a brief introduction to the site at 10:00am, and will spend the remainder of the event exploring and photographing species throughout the Reserve.
This site does not feature paved trails and will require walking across uneven ground.
