Salt Lake County Art in Public Places’ Civic Museum, in partnership with the Consulate of Mexico in Salt Lake City, presents Del Dicho al Hecho, an exhibition by Oaxacan artist Luis Rosado Montes.
Rosado Montes explores the intersection of textile heritage, visual art, and popular wisdom through a series of artistically transformed rebozos—traditional Mexican woven shawls used for clothing, carrying children, and ceremonial purposes.
Join us for the opening reception on August 5, 2026, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM and experience an evening of art, culture, and community dialogue. Remarks and traditional Oaxacan cuisine provided.
