TRON!

Being the TRON freak that I am (only 105 days remaining until the sequel, “TRON: Legacy”, is in theaters), I get as giddy as a school girl when anything is released regarding Steven Lisberger’s original creation. Dew Tour Day 4

Sunday, Sept. 19 marked the last day of Dew Tour here in Salt Lake City for 2010. It was also the day I was waiting for to see the skate vert finals. The Arena was packed almost every seat filled fans watched in awe as the pros warmed up. As an intro Gatorade put on the grom demo where some super little kids shredded the ramp, there was even a seven year old who did cork 540s! Autolux @ Urban Lounge

Watching Autolux play is like watching a controlled detonation: so many painstaking details just to watch something explode into a million pieces. Likewise, Autolux’s set was professional down to the last detail. Small, single-bulb lamps and white satin ribbon lights were tied to just about every mic stand and amplifier onstage. With as much exposition as Autolux put into their live show the performance itself exceeded the lofty expectations set by mood and ambience. … read more

Donna Orbits the Moon

For a one-woman play about mid-menopausal schizophrenia, Donna Orbits the Moon seemed pretty spot on. The play touched on family, friends, bake sales and feelings of insanity. I’m no forty-something year old, but based on the reaction of the audience members of that age and their slightly amused husbands, I’d say it was relatable on more than a few levels.
