In this episode of Soundwaves, the official podcast of SLUG Magazine, writer Alex Cragun will be talking to SLC metal trio Hard Men and listening to tracks from their new split EP. Hard Men are a three-piece metal band from Salt Lake City. The group formed in the summer of 2014, composed of members Evan Anderson, Josh West and Whil McCutchan. In early 2015, the band recorded a split self-titled EP featuring songs from their sister project, Yaktooth.

We’ll be listening to an interview we conducted with the band. But first, we’re going to be playing the tracks from their self-titled split EP. The first track we’ll be listening to is titled “9,000” from Hard Men’s self-titled split EP. Let’s hear SLUG writer Alex Cragun’s interview with the band, conducted in our podcast studio at SLUG Magazine HQ.

The final track we play on this episode is titled “Time-Eater,” also from Hard Men’s self-titled EP. For information on where to download or buy Hard Men’s music, check them out here.
