Emma Anderson

Emma Anderson is SLUG’s Editorial Assistant, who works diligently to pitch, write and edit stories for the magazine’s print issue and coordinate online-exclusive content for SLUGMag.com. One of her favorite parts of the job is managing SLUG’s monthly SLUG Style and Bold & Beautiful columns because she gets to shine a spotlight on incredible people from around town. She believes Utah’s creative community is particularly unique because so much of it is born out of a rebellion against the dominant conservative culture. Anderson is thoroughly embedded in the local hardcore scene—when she’s not booking bands across all genres for SLUG’s monthly Localized showcase, she’s writing songs and singing for SLC powerviolence band NARC. SLUG is lucky to have her sharp wit for punny article titles and discerning ear for new underground music!
