Joshua Joye

Joshua Joye is the design of the magazine in addition to having been a photographer and writer. On a day-to-day basis, he can be found behind a myriad of monitors with a stylus in one hand and mouse in the other. He has been involved with either producing them himself or working with many different design and illustration contributors across the valley to build the magazine for 10 years for over 100 issues. “It really takes a team to do the designs of the magazine,” Joye says, which he acknowledges to be his favorite part of working for SLUG and SLUG as a whole: “the freedom of expression and the opportunity to explore.” Joye also performs in-house design work besides the editorial pages, including branding, event campaigns and much more. His favorite memory of working for SLUG are the opportunities to attend SXSW.
