William Hughes

William Hughes, who writes under the name wphughes, is SLUG’s Assistant Editor. After previously working as an Editorial Intern, they currently oversee all of SLUG’s music and film reviews—both local and national—and also work to coordinate the monthly art feature. Much of the magazine’s online-exclusive content falls under their purview; some of Hughes’ recent projects include working with our website developers to revamp’s Daily Calendar and re-categorize archive articles. Hughes is also a magnificent writer with a penchant for literary theory and a distinct voice that effortlessly balances cynicism with earnestness. Their connections to local coffee shops and restaurants, combined with a boundless knowledge of niche music and sports trivia, is invaluable to the SLUG team.
