Meredith Marks Spins Her Way in Salt Lake

Salt Lake City’s creative scene thrives on reinvention, and Meredith Marks is the latest to take that spirit in a new direction. Known from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, the jewelry designer and entrepreneur has recently added DJ to her growing list of titles. She’s doing it with the same polished confidence that defines her brand.

“Salt Lake has this blend of nature, art and resilience that really speaks to me,” Marks says. “My jewelry and fashion have always been about storytelling, and living here pushes me to balance sophistication with a kind of grounded authenticity. There’s a calm energy in the mountains that sneaks into everything I create.”

That blend of calm and creativity carries into her DJ sets. For Marks, music is another medium of design. “Music has always been a big part of my life,” she says. “I’ve hosted events for years where music set the tone, and one day I thought, ‘Why not step behind the decks?’ DJing is another way of curating an experience; it’s still design, just with sound.”

Her sets pull from house and disco, mixing confident, feel-good beats that mirror both her style and Salt Lake’s evolving nightlife. And while her now-iconic catchphrase, “I’m disengaging,” remains a Bravo staple, Marks sees it as something deeper. “It’s surreal, honestly. I didn’t say it to become a meme — it was how I was protecting my peace. But if it reminds people to take care of themselves, I love that.”

Whether crafting jewelry or spinning a set, Meredith Marks continues to embody Salt Lake’s mix of grit, glam and creative growth — proving that engagement sometimes starts by disengaging.
