Craft Lake City, SLUG Magazine and Angela H. Brown are seeking a Videography Intern to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to create content across three of Utah’s most influential creative platforms – building a portfolio that spans nonprofit, media and personal brand work all at once.
In this role, you’ll produce video content that is published, credited and seen by thousands, while capturing the stories of local artists, events and Utah’s creative community. From filming live events to editing polished social media content, you’ll gain hands-on experience in digital storytelling, video production and creative marketing across multiple audiences.
This is a one-year, volunteer internship (10 hours per week) with opportunities for growth and potential paid advancement – ideal for students or emerging creatives ready to build their résumé and portfolio.

What You’ll Do
- Conceptualize, film and edit video content for social media and digital platforms
- Capture event coverage, interviews, promotional videos and b-roll footage
- Collaborate with CLC and SLUG teams to plan and execute creative projects
- Produce content across three brands: Craft Lake City, SLUG Magazine and Angela H. Brown
- Edit video including audio, color correction, transitions, graphics and titles
- Set up and manage lighting, sound and recording equipment during shoots
- Contribute creative ideas aligned with campaigns and brand voice
- Support content creation for major events like the DIY Festival and Holiday Market
- Be part of a collaborative, creative and community-driven team

- Passionate about video production, storytelling and creative media
- Interested in Utah’s arts, culture, music and event scenes
- A student or emerging creative looking to gain hands-on experience
- Detail-oriented with a strong creative eye
- Able to manage time, meet deadlines and take initiative
- Positive, adaptable and eager to learn
- Professional and reliable in representing our organizations
Preferred Experience
- Experience with video editing software preferred (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of camera equipment, lighting and audio setup
- Familiarity with social media platforms and video trends
- Experience filming events, interviews or short-form content
- Coursework or background in film, media or communications
- Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
Commitment & Requirements
- 10 hours per week (flexible based on schedule and events)
- One-year commitment
- Availability for occasional evenings and weekends during events
- Own laptop and/or access to editing software preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Occasional availability to support events, including (but not limited to) LetterWest, the DIY Festival, Holiday Market, SLUG Cat, Anniversary Party, and more.
