Pushing Up Daisies, Classic Trash, GLOSSA & NO HAND @ One Love Coffee Lounge 10.04.2026

Concert

Music finds a way. Even if the venue is a small, locally-owned coffee spot all the way out in West Jordan, music will find a way to book a gig and fill that shop with music lovers; and that is exactly what happened at One Love Coffee Lounge this month.

The lineup for the show was stacked: four bands, each with their own flavor of metal, played their hearts out to the crowd of metal heads who had congregated at One Love, filling the place to near capacity. Local staples Pushing Up Daisies kicked off the show and really set the tone for the evening. Heavy riffs and screamy vocals permeated the venue for the duration of their set.

Next, Classic Trash took the stage and continued the face-melting mayhem. Their set seemed to jolt the crowd awake a little more, with the occasional slam dancer darting back and forth through the crowd. Although trash is in their name, their performance was the opposite of garbage. Third up was GLOSSA. This Utah-based doom metal band had an eerie, cinematic sound and feel to them. Their rhythmic fuzzy riffs, a signature feature of the doom metal genre, had the crowd nodding their heads along with each strum of the guitars.

Finally, the headliner, NO HAND, took the stage and proceeded to blow the roof off the place. They turned the house lights off for their set, giving the venue a dark, dramatic vibe which complemented their modern hardcore metal sound perfectly. NO HAND captivated the audience with their music and capped off the evening with a powerful performance.

Even though I consider myself a casual metal fan at best, I had an absolute blast at this show. The bands were great, no notes, solid performances by all. The crowd was super friendly — and all ages, I might add. And the vibes were top-notch; One Love keeps a tidy shop, and everyone there was having a good time. I would not normally think a metal show at a coffee shop would go together, but as I said in the beginning, music finds a way. —Brent Landes
