I’ve never really considered myself a Slash fan, or a Guns N’ Roses fan for that matter, however, when some friends said they were going to go see Slash and his makeshift band of fellow musicians, I couldn’t resist.  Something about seeing a legend like Slash in concert is really exciting.  Luckily, I live just up the street from The Depot, so having a few cold ones and cruising down the block is no problem.

I’ve caught the smallest Dragon three times now, and every time I’m reminded how Sweden has not only one of the best reputations in the world but also some of the best music. Lead singer and percussionist Yukimi Nagano is as precious as ever, still donning her alluring veil and dancing about in a bizarre music-fog of awesome. Viva La Pow Mow!

Last week’s delivery of fresh ‘Wasatch Gold’ was well received by many, and the heinous crowds in the Cottonwoods proved it.  However, while the general population of powder-starved locals waited in the line at the base of the canyon, my friends and I enjoyed an absolutely splendid day at Powder Mountain.  Less than an hour drive from SLC, this little gem offers up some 7,000 acres of pure shred-able entertainment, without the egocentric masses that inhabit the slopes closer to town.  … read more
