The 2015 Utah Pride Festival Parade took place Sunday, June 7 in downtown Salt Lake City. It was clear, it was bright, it was as big as life and twice as splendid.

No Utah Pride Festival is complete without a parade. This year’s parade was a bright and bustling affair, complete with ballons, music, beefcakes and Bible-thumping hecklers. Above all, it was a celebration of how far we’ve come as a society. Countless LGBTQ and ally groups came together, forming a moving tapestry of support and respect. Some of the entrants were outrageous, but taken together, the whole was a mosaic of comfort and acceptance. What was once a spring of hope is now a wide ocean of confidence. Across the nation, and in Salt Lake today, Pride is becoming more and more real every year.
