Episode #436 – Goldmyth

Goldmyth (aka Jenessa Smith) is a harpist and singer-songwriter in Provo who crafts dreamy, indie-pop melodies. In this episode of SLUG Soundwaves, she chats about balancing motherhood with a successful music career and debuts some unreleased music. She explains how the harp feels like a formal instrument that doesn’t always match her personality, but says that she “found a way to use those opposites in [her] music.”

Smith grew up in Idaho and moved to Provo in 2009, where she attended college at BYU for commercial music. She released her first EP in 2017 and her music has now been featured in shows such as “The Sex Lives of College Girls” on HBO, “Dear Edward” on Apple TV and “I Love That For You” on Hulu. This episode also features her brand-new single “Call Me When You Get This,” which you can now stream online wherever you find your music.
