SLUG‘s Editor, Angela H. Brown, sat down with all five candidates currently running for the office in the 2015 SLC Mayoral Race and asked them your questions submitted to us through social media. The candidates in this episode include incumbent Mayor Ralph Becker, former State Representative Jackie Biskupski, City Councilman Luke Garrott, community activist George Chapman, and local businessman Dave Robinson.
SLUG Magazine invited all four candidates to take part in a unique Q&A that conducted here in our podcast studio. We asked our readership on social media, “if you could ask all of the candidates a question before you voted, what would it be?” We filtered through the responses and came up with 11 questions, which I asked each candidate separately, without the others hearing their responses or influencing their own responses. All candidates were given 90 seconds to respond to each question, some taking the full amount, others keeping their answers short and declining the rest of their time. To keep this process fair, the order of their responses were randomly selected by the SLUG editorial staff without hearing the responses prior to these recordings.
